...Worry can be counterproductive as it takes you mind off of the solution and keeps you focused on the problem. When your problems become larger than your faith it is a losing situation.
Wonderful words, Richard, that apply to so many things in life, not only to caring for our pets.
I always leave this thread with more than I came with. :)

Cookie is doing well, her stomach has settled and she started wanting to play last night, after a couple of days of being sick she was lethargic which we certainly expected. Poor Oreo couldn't understand why Cookie didn't want to play, Oreo would bring her toys and drop them in front of Cookie and this usually gets the play going, but Cookie would just ignore the toys. Yesterday evening Cookie started to play again! We are keeping her on the special food for a few days then wean her back onto her regular food. We haven't given her Mylanta since yesterday afternoon and this morning she is herself.

We took Cookie to the vet they took an Xray after checking her. The vet did see a couple of small items in the bowl tract and said Cookie probably ate something that irritated her stomach which os on the way out that has created some gastritis (spelling), we bought some Mylenta and special food, will follow instructions of vet for giving Mylenta and food for tonight and see how it goes. If she is still having issues will take her back in the morning and go from there. If she does not improve overnight, they will keep her overnight as surgery to remove items will have to take place.
She is still a happy little girl, no fever, so praying all will be good come morning.

Thanks for the quick replies. Cookies eyes are clear, no problem there. We will call the vet today if she doesn't keep her breakfast down, so far so good.
Thank you for the white rice idea, will keep that in mind.

Our little Cookie is throwing up
Cookie, our 4 month old Shihtzu mix has been throwing up today for some reason that we cannot figure out. She is still playing, walking and passing urine, having bowl movements, she drinks and eats but then throws it up. She does not have a fever and is acting normal other that this throwing up. We have not changed her food, so are puzzled. We walk her on leash, but wondereing if she could have picked up something while walking, she loves sniffing and licking everything she come across but we do try and not let her do it, it is still possible. Any ideas? Thanks

It seems that the newer the RV, there is less usable storage in the unit. RV manufactures make big pretty boxes with lots of wall space and windows trying to mimick a stick House. The RV manufacturers have gotten pretty stupid in my opinion.

I have to agree, we spent some time looking at newer models of the same unit we have now (2006 model) and we found the same thing, they are prettier but not as practical. We also looked at some other makes and models and came away happy with our present unit, we have made some modifications to suit us, but the storage and practical living space we had before modifications is better than some of the newer models.

RE: dog food across US border
We have only have asked once when crossing the border, and because the dry kibble food had lamb in it they took it. The border guards even apologized for taking it. The rules regarding what meat can be transported the border affects the dog food also, and sheep, lamb, etc, are still not allowed but other meats are okay. It was not a problem, we had very little food left and there was a store just across the border where we purchased a new supply.

Yeah it is a shame that all do not pick up after there pets. At the RV park we are in we are constantly seeing the staff going around picking up doggie do, the sheet of rules we recieved when we checked in states very clearly that if we see anyone not doing so, we should report them and also states that they do not charge extra for pets but may have to do so if pet owners are not responible for clean up. The problem is that we never see anyone not picking up these people must only do that when it is dark out eh! There are also signs posted regarding picking up after pets. We always pick up as we hate stepping in it while walking dogs in the dark for their last potty break.
Love the ideas you all came up with for solving the problem.
